Horses are safely moved from the surgery table to the recovery rooms using a hoisting system (at left). Surgeries may be watched from a viewing room above. The room has a couch, table and chairs and full kitchen to fully accommodate visitors during surgeries and long visits to the clinic. Our most recent addition includes 30 outdoor stalls with runs. Our Facilities TEXAS EQUINE HOSPITAL - Opened January 2009 • Please take a look below or click to go to a slideshow of our facilities. The hospital includes a covered all weather area with non-slip surface for lameness exams and waiting area. A twelve stall barn is adjacent to the covered area. The barn also houses a third exam room. Grooved concrete provides a safe non-slip surface in the barn and all exam rooms. Each stall provides a safe, well ventilated, well lit place for horses stabled at the hospital. Each exam room is complete with its own full set of stocks and a tv to view while you are here. The surgery table. Also pictured is the entrance to one of two recovery rooms. Two recovery rooms provide a safe environment for horses to wake up following surgery. The front office features a nice waiting area full of western decor, tv and a friendly staff to assist you. The feed room in the barn houses a good supply of grains as well as quality coastal and alfalfa hay.
